Social responsibility is a cornerstone of GCI’s philosophy. On the job site and off, our work is a means to serve others. We’re proud to partner with a number of charities, clinics and philanthropic programs across Southern California.
Each year, GCI also teams up with leading California construction firm W.L. Butler for its Charitable Partners Golf Tournament benefitting these nonprofits:
- Make-A-Wish
Arranges to grant “wishes” for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. - Thomas House Family Shelter
Houses homeless families in a safe, supportive environment while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient. - Leaps & Bounds
Provides pediatric therapy services for children with developmental delays, neuromuscular conditions, autism spectrum disorders, and other conditions through hippotherapy— the use of horseback riding to improve coordination, balance, and strength. - Donate Life
Works to increase the number of donated organs, eyes and tissue available to save and heal lives through transplantation. - CSR Children’s Foundation
Provides children challenged by mental or physical disabilities with “once in a lifetime” watersport experiences that can be shared with their families.
Over the tournament’s 11 years, the event has raised nearly a million dollars for its charitable partners. GCI also supports Relay for Life, the community-based fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and Shoot for a Cure, which raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, among others.
